Concerned about the environment? At KitchenWorks, you can have the new kitchen you want and honor your commitment to choosing environmentally conscious products and services.
With our kitchen cabinet refacing process, we take inventory of your kitchen's current design and amenities, discuss your remodeling needs and ideas, and make recommendations on ways to enhance your kitchen. Then, instead of demolishing all of your kitchen cabinets just to replace them later, we utilize your existing kitchen layout and cabinets as a resource upon which to create your vision. We renew every surface, replace cabinet doors and hardware, and add all the extras you want (such as additional cabinets, new countertops, lighting, even a pantry) for a brand-new kitchen look. When your project is completed, your old cabinet door and drawer fronts are recycled, along with any appliances we may remove, and you've done your part to minimize waste by choosing to reface rather than replace!
Beyond our ecologically-minded remodeling process, we also offer an environment-friendly wood species as an option for renewing your kitchen cabinets. Introduced into Bay Area kitchens by KitchenWorks, Lyptus® is a premium-grade hardwood known for its unique beauty and distinct wood characteristics.
Planted in Brazil's warm climate, Lyptus trees grow quickly—maturing in 15 years instead of the typical 50 to 70 years needed in colder regions. After being harvested, Lyptus trees can be regenerated without the need for replanting or disturbing the forest floor.
Lyptus hardwood is available in four attractive stain colors. For more information about Lyptus—and our KitchenWorks remodeling services—talk to one of our helpful customer service representatives at 1-800-464-2234, Ext. 350.
